spring project inspiration

I'm getting very excited for the weather to finally warm up!!! Here are some patterns I have my eye on for the warmer weather. I just finished knitting my Winters Pullover and now I am ready to move into making some new pieces for spring.

Spring Project Inspiration Patterns

- Persephone Pants by Anna Allen Clothing

- Vest no. 01 by My Favourite Things

- Sadie Slip Dress by Tessuti

- Antoinette Shirt by Isa in Stitches

- Roscoe Blouse Hack by Tessuti

- Boxy Cardigan by Friday Patterns

I bought some duck canvas as recommended by Anna Allen on Instagram to make a pair of Persephone Pants. I have been wanting to try this pattern for SO long but I have been nervous because it seems like a more ambitious project to undertake. I have loved the Jesse Kamm pants for years but I am physically incapable of spending $395 on a pair of pants.  Maybe this spring is the time I finally get into my first pair?!

I am in love with the Rudy Jude Pony Blouse, but I know I could try to make my own instead of spending $220 on it (also I know I would spill something on it and then be very annoyed with myself for ruining an expensive top). LisaTea made a really great DIY version and I'm feeling inspired to take on my own. I just bought Isa In Stitches' Antoinette Shirt pattern. The sizing is pretty small, so I think I'll have to go for the largest size. I hope it fits me! I'd like to try to alter the pattern to have the collar cover the button placket a bit more like the Pony Blouse.

The Roscoe Blouse (hacked version) looks so breezy and lovely - perfect for spring. I'd love to make a "studio top" version of this to wear at my studio as a sort of apron that I know I will get dye on, and a version that I will wear in public that is (ideally) stain and dye free. After making my Anthea Blouse last month I'm feeling more confident with buttonholes. Who is she????!!

I knit My Favourite Things' Vest no. 04 last autumn and I absolutely love it. I'd like to make another vest that is a pullover style so I can have both. I love how it looks layered over a dress. I'm imagining myself wearing this over a Ganni style dress and sneakers, wandering the streets of Copenhagen....!! I have clearly spent way too much time on Scandinavian Fashion Instagram - ha!

The Sadie Slip Dress looks so cute and versatile. I love seeing the more casual and dressy versions too. DIY Daisy made a really great plaid slip dress that I love. I have never made a dress that's cut on the bias so it will be a fun new skill to try. Slip dresses are so sexy and classic, I know I will get a lot of wear out of this!

I came across the Boxy Cardigan on Friday Knits' Instagram and really liked it. I love both the sleeveless and the short sleeve versions, I'm not sure which one I'm going to go with. I bought Knit Picks CotLin in a super light blue color and it just arrived today. I haven't worked with this yarn but it looks like a nice one so far. I love the look of the bigger collar that she did on the sleeveless top so I may try to make that version regardless of which sleeve option I go with.

Wow I am having so much fun planning out my spring projects here! I hope this was fun and inspiring for you to read. What projects are you planning to make for spring? Let me know in the comments :)
