Weekly WIP no. 01

Weekly WIP (work in progress) is where I will share where I'm at with the various projects I'm working on. This week I'm working on finishing up my cotton Louise Pullover. I am 99% there, just finishing up the second sleeve and blocking it! I'm also going to be working on swatching for my Boxy Cardigan. I ordered some CotLin for the project but it's a SUPER pale blue and I'm not sure if I want to exchange it for a different color.

I've been working on sewing myself a pojagi curtain inspired by the amazing Copehagen-based designer Freja Løewe. I used all linen plant dyed scraps from my studio and it has taken SO long. It's the first time I've tried pojagi, a Korean quilting technique that is similar to a flat felled seam. It is a very strong seam that is finished on both sides and looks really nice, but requires a lot of pressing and flipping the piece around as you go. I need to hem the sides of the curtain and create loops for it to hang from. I also need to install a curtain rod in my bedroom for it to hang from. I'm really excited about this project and I want to make more of these patchwork curtains for my house.

Yesterday I felt inspired to start working on a wearable toile of the Antoinette Shirt. I printed and assembled the pattern and then cut out the pieces in a white 3.7 oz cotton. I'm not sure how long it will take to finish this - maybe I'll be able to make the entire thing this week? I'm currently working on the collar and fiddling with the gathering and attaching the gathered bit to the bottom half of the collar piece. I attempted to machine gather using a long stitch and a high tension but it unfortunately didn't work on two thicknesses of fabric so I had to gather it the "old fashioned way", aka a line of loose stitches and pulling the tension manually.
