I am so happy with how this turned out! I cast on while on vacation in Mexico City last month and worked on it at the AirBnB during downtime on my trip. I made a lot of progress on a drive from Chicago to Detroit as well - the best time for plowing through stockinette! The progress of this sweater was also severely expedited due to me coming down with bronchitis after my trip and being resigned to laying around my house for a week.

Shows watched while knitting this sweater: The Gilded Age, Bridgerton (seasons 1 and 2) and The Queen's Gambit.

Mine differs from the inspiration because I used one strand of mohair with one strand of merino wool. I was originally going to knit the Wednesday Sweater by Petite Knit, but I was tipped off to this new pattern release that had the neck shaping that is more similar to the original Babaa sweater. Mine doesn't fit exactly like it does the model, but even if I purchased the sweater from them I would not have the same fit as it is "one size fits all". That is one of the main reasons I did not want to purchase it as grading a pattern and having the right fit for different body types is SO important! I totally get how it makes manufacturing clothing WAY easier, but as a customer it's no bueno IMO.

This was my first time knitting an Ozetta pattern and I really enjoyed it! It was super clearly written out and easy to follow. I did not make any modifications to the pattern, other than I knit the collar 6" instead of 8" because I ran out of yarn. I thought for sure I would need more merino but I used every last bit and made it work. In the end, the sweater cost me about $100, compared to €220 for the sweater (about $239 USD) and about 3 weeks to knit. This is the first time I have used Knit Picks yarn too and I'm very pleasantly surprised. We'll see how it holds up, but it feels like really high quality yarn and the price was super reasonable! Overall, I'm super happy with this sweater and I know I will get a lot of wear out of it.
