weekly wip no. 03

I love making these WIP posts! Making is all about the PROCESS but when you look around it feels like everyone is just showing the end result. I spend a lot of time dreaming, planning, collaging, mood boarding, list making, inspiration gathering before getting started. The "doing" is just one part... there's so much more that doesn't get seen in the creative process.

1) I finished my Louise Cotton Pullover! I'm so pleased. It still needs to be blocked but overall I think it's really cute. Click through for the Ravelry project page.

2)  I really want to make a water bottle sling like this one from Baggu for my massive Hydro Flask. This will be great for hiking and rollerblading and biking around :) I have also admired this really cute beaded one by Susan Alexandra!

3) I want to make this Lotte Blouse Hack! But I also want to make another Antoinette Blouse. I'm going to hit up the thrift store today to see if there's any cute bedsheets or other fabric I can use. All the fabric I recently got from Arts and Scraps is too small of pieces to use for the Antoinette Blouse unfortunately. I saw a friend wearing this Doen top that looked very similar and I have a desperate urge to recreate it ASAP!

4) I've been really in the zone with making a pojagi cotton gauze curtain with my scraps. I just keep making it bigger and bigger and it's really so fun to work on.

5) I feel like sewing something today that I can wear this weekend for a get together with my family for Mother's Day. Maybe I'll make the Anthea dress?? I have some yardage of this lovely vintage floral fabric that I've been hesitating cutting into and I want to use it all on one dress and not have only a bit leftover if I use it on a top. I feel like I'm being too precious with it and then I'll just never use it! Update: I started sewing the Lotte Blouse and I didn’t finish it in time before leaving for the weekend :)
